the Gardens 

Garden lovers have a treat in store, with extensive landscaped grounds and flower beds, and over 200 varieties of shrubs, fruit trees, herbs, and flowers.  Our Botanical Gardens are the heart of Casa Colibri eco-lodge. 

We landscaped our gardens using permaculture principles, combining native and universal plant species to create different "garden zones" which are now  home to hundreds of beautiful birds, bees, butterflies and other insects.  

Organic fertilizer used on the gardens comes from worm-composted vegetable waste. No artificial fertilizers or insecticides are used. 

Our kitchen gardens, (huertas) produce some of the organic veggies and salads used in the meals we offer.
