Around the Valle Sagrado de los Incas
Casa Colibri is right in the heart of the Sacred Valley, 5 minutes from Urubamba, at the foot of the Pumahuanca mountain. It is within 30 minutes of most archeological sites and activities available in the Sacred Valley. Sites such as Pisac, Moray and the Salt mines of Maras are a short taxi ride away. The trains from Ollanta Station to Machu Picchu are only 20 minutes away.
The lodge is at a much lower altitude, (2900 mtrs) than Cuzco, (3400 mtrs) so it's perfect for your acclimatization. In addition to mountain biking, rafting, horse riding and paragliding there are rarely visited Inca ruins in the Pumahuanca Valley just a 2-hour walk straight out of the lodge! Take a look below the map for more exact distances between possible places of interest and the lodge... ↓
